Bobby Sudduth Obituary

SAMANTHA Bobby E. Sudduth, age 74, of Samantha, died Sept. 27, 2007, at Hospice of West Ala- bama. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Max Stripling and Rev. Ralph officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Ovella Sudduth; his son, William "Bill" Sudduth; his three brothers, and his sister.

Survivors include his wife, Emma "Tooter" Sudduth; his daughter, Jenny Pearson (Rickey); his grandsons, Dusty Pearson, Cody Pearson, and Jason Pearson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sudduth served in the U.S. Navy and retired from South Central Bell with over 33 years of service. He was an outdoorsman, loving farming and gardening. He was a granddad who loved his grandsons and the joy they brought along with Mrs. "Tooter" who was his partner for more than 49 years.

Pallbearers will be Randy Sanders, Floyd Hughes, Bryan Hughes, Barry Hughes, John Brewer, Shaun Brewer, Heath Kelly, and Dennis Sudduth.

Honorary pallbearers are Faye Hughes, Jean Long, D.O. and Clairice Morris, Oliver Oswalt, the retired employees of Bell South and Pioneer Group, New Hope Baptist Church, the employees of Tuscaloosa Chevrolet, DCH Cancer Center, Hospice of West Alabama, and the friends and neighbors of Samantha, Northside, and Zion communities.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the William "Bill" Sudduth Scholarship Fund at Northside High School and to Hospice of West Alabama.
