Myra and Jr.and family: I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Cody. My thoughts and prayers are sent your way. I found this poem Billy Joe had written several years ago and it made me think of Cody. i I KNEW IT ALL : All I neededto know, I knew I learned at an early age I knew how to catch a fish and turn to the funny page I knew how to whittle a stick Throw horseshoes and ride a bike I knew how to make a whistle And what kind of vegetables I like I knew how to dig for worms Catch fireflies in a jar I knew when Dad got his belt I'd pushed him a little too far I knew knew how to stand on one foot And talk to the pretty girls Tho I wondered why I wanted to do that They were nothing but satin and curls I knew Jesus was the man to copy That the Bible was a Holy Book I knew if I talked in church Mama gave me a dirty look I knew how to pull my own weight Stand up to the bully next door I once tried to chew tobacco But threw up all over the floor I knew how to walk in the sunshine Stay out of the pouring rain If ever a boy knew it all It was me on a gravy train When things got steamy and hot I knew how to find me a shade Some people say life is tough Not me, man I had it made Cody did just that He MADE so many lives better just being CODY. Cody was such a HOOT and I loved him very much, as I do you all.

Mr. and Mrs. hayes and family I am so devastated to hear of your loss of Cody. I will always remember sitting in the tree stand and cutting up with him on the backside. He was always a joy to be around. I have thought all day about watching him grow up and know that there are alot of people that don't understand. God loaned him to us for a short time but had other plans for him but know that God knew this was going to happen and it was in his will. One day we will all see his smiling face again and know that he is in a better place waiting for all of us to join him. lets make sure we make it there to see him again. We love you and will keep you in our prayers.
