Statement from children: Our daddy was a great daddy to all of us. He worked very hard every day to provide a great home and lifestyle for all of us kids. He went above and beyond of what he had to do. We all love him so very much for being the kind man and daddy that he was. Daddy, you will be missed forever.
Statement from wife: James loved his family, his church, but most of all, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. He did Bible study every day that he was able to and he was a prayer warrior. We were happily married for 50 years, and I will miss his companionship, his love towards me and that daily relationship that can only come from a sweet closeness with Jesus. I will miss him dearly.

Daddy, I still miss you so much. Many things have changed since you left us. Although we thought we were ready for you to meet Jesus and suffer no more, we emotionally were not. There is still such a void that will never be filled in my heart. You are with me always.

I am so blessed and so thankful for you being the funny, loving, giving, caring, and crazy daddy that you were to me. It has been over a week now and it hasn't gotten any easier for me, but I know that you are walking with Jesus now. You will always be loved and missed here. Again, thank you for being the daddy that you were and always will be! Love you!

Dear Mrs. Snipes and Loved Ones....I worked with James in Cedar Springs and mostly knew him through my mother, Lorene Cook Vice. My memories of James are of a kind, sweet, funny man that would help anyone if he could. I've thought of him often through the years and always with thankfulness over his kindness to my family. I know he will be missed greatly but find comfort in the reassurance that only his body is gone from it's earthly form. His soul and spirit reside with The Lord and he will one day be reunited with his new body and all of Gods children will see each other again and live for eternity in our Saviors wonderful presence. May God give you peace and contentment only He can give. Lynn Laham (Ready)

I am so sorry for your loss. I met James when he worked with McAbee in Cedar Springs GA. He was the nicest person, always funny. He used to come to our doctors for his labs and such. He was a good friend of my moms and step dad also. Such a super sweet person. Prayers for all the family.

Daddy, I praise God that you are home with Him now. I know through the blood of Jesus that you are happy and no longer in pain. I know that you wouldn't want to come back even if you could. I know you've now seen the face of God. I'm praising Him but crying at the same time. I know it's selfish of me, but I miss you. I wish you could see how many people you touched in your time here. I was lucky to have had you for a father, but blessed to have had you for a dad. I love and miss you, Daddy.
