Dear Gladys and Terri, and Rosemary, I am sadden to hear about O'Neal's passing. Please know that each of you are in my prayers. I pray God to please give you peace and comfort during this time of grief. I have warm memories of visiting your lovely homes. You were most welcoming to your Aunt Essie, Frances and I. Thank you. In fact, I installed a solar sunroof in the house I built - getting the idea from the one you had. God Bless you. Love Charlotte Nichols

Paul Ritchie was my good friend and farming buddy. He taught me so much about the land and the techniques of raising food to eat. Okra and tomatoes were his favorites. I don't know how Ms. Gladys survived him bringing mountains of food for her to process and freeze. I always wondered if they ate all of it. So much of the time a lot of the produce was carried to his "old vet" buddies. Paul was a man of few words but every word meant something and, if you wanted to learn something, you better be listening because he usually didn't repeat it.
I'll miss him so much. Farming will not be the same.
Ms. Gladys and Terri.......what a big loss for both of you. You two were the center of his life. I'll be praying for both of you!

Dear Gladys and Terri,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Ritchie's passing. Please know that I am praying for you during this difficult period. Though I now live and work in Birmingham, please let me know if you need anything. I am setting up a second residence in Tuscaloosa near my parents' house in Cottondale and will be close at hand on most weekends. My cell phone is (205) 534-9510 and my office number here at EBSCO is (205) 980-5259. Again, I am so sorry to hear this news and take comfort in knowing that he is with our Savior. You have all been on my mind a great deal. Love, Barry Cole
