Ruby Lee Beckham Tidmore

TUSCALOOSA Ruby Lee Beckham Tidmore, age 82, of Tuscaloosa, died Dec. 15, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. John Vaughan and Rev. Orland Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marvin Otis Tidmore.

Survivors include her son Michael O. Tidmore (Cindy); sister-in-law, Lee Beckham; grandchildren, Shannon Miller and Tiffany Collins (Trent); and three great-grandchildren.

Ruby loved the town of Moundville where she grew up, and she had precious memories there. She married her high school sweetheart, graduated from business school, and worked for her loving husband of 62 years. She loved music, dancing, traveling, and especially shopping with her special shopping buddies. She enjoyed her family and life to the fullest.

Pallbearers will be Trent Collins, Jim Hammonds, Billy Lake, Timmy Meggs, Larry Miles, and Bobby Perdue.

Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews, members of First Wesleyan Church, Jay and Donita Henderson, Becky Strickland, Lloyd and Joan Junkin, Edith White, Camille Meggs, Hazel Lake, staff of Moundville Nursing Home, Brenda Snider, and friends of Covey Chase neighborhood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Wesleyan Church, Moundville Nursing Home, and Caring Days.
