Ann LINZ

A native of St. Paul, who most recently lived in Bastrop, TX, Ann went to the Lord on August 27, 2013 after a 19-year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by parents Miles J. and Betty Hodgins Hubbard. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tim, and sons Jason (CA) and Matt (MN); sisters Mary (Mark), Claudia (Bob) and Katy; brothers Miles (Margaret), Pat, Tom (Julie Kardachi) and Rob (Sosan Flynn); nieces and nephews Adam Linz, Bob Tuma (Angie), MaryAnn TumaSmith (Chris), Michael Tuma, Heidi O'Leary, Erich Hofmeister (Danneth), Isaac Hubbard, lan, Lia and Jesse Hubbard and Seamus Hubbard Flynn; as well great nieces and nephews and loving friends. A graduate of the College of St. Catherine, Ann was a kindergarten teacher for the St. Paul Schools for 36 years, many of which were spent at Chelsea Heights School. She also was formerly employed by the East Central Library in North Branch, MN, and volunteered at the Bastrop, TX, Library. Her love of people, her upbeat spirit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. A reception will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul, 651-228-1006, and a Memorial Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Odilia Catholic Church, 3495 N. Victoria, Shoreview. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the Children's Room of the St. Paul Public Library's Central Branch.
