Arthur MADSEN Obituary

Passed away February 22, 2016 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by his wife Joyce (Larson) Madsen and son Bruce Madsen. Survived by his daughter Pegge Johnson (Neel), daughter-in-law Mary Madsen, and wife Mary Ellen Stewart. He is also survived by his grand children Lindsey Doyle (Chris), Blair Madsen, Lauren Mattingly (Michael), Cameron Johnson (Christine), Emily Jones (Ben), and seven great grandchildren. Art was born in St. Paul in 1922, graduated from Central High School and the University of Minnesota and the School of Dentistry. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and practiced dentistry in St. Paul and Burnsville. For the past five years he has been under the excellent care of the people at Keystone of Highland Park. Memorials preferred to the National Parkinson's Foundation, MN.

Somehow I stumbled across this today, I have fond memories of working with Art in the 1970s in Burnsville.
I read that Norene his hygienist is gone too, and Bruce.
Art was a gentle dentist, his patient's loved him. I worked for him for 6 years, he taught me to assist him. He was kind.

I left his office when I was pregnant with our first child in 1977. Interestingly, Art guessed I was pregnant before I knew! I think it was a lunch thing!
I don't know if any of you will see this, but I will always remember him. He must be fishing for Walleye in Heaven!
