left this world to join his Lord on August 18, 2021, in Anderson, SC. Carl Briggs Beers was born to parents Arthur D. and Dorothy L. (Briggs) Beers of Des Moines, IA on April 18, 1939. Over the span of Carl's life, he served faithfully in the United States Army and after 22 years, retired as LT Colonel Beers. He held many varied positions in a variety of companies, but retired from Pfizer after approximately 20 years. During the course of his life, he lived in many states: IA; MN; NC; SC and WI. In each place he worked and lived, he leaves behind many friends. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sue (Junker) Beers; his children, RaNae Ellett of Ankeny, IA; LaRae (Randy) Denham of Pleasant Hill, IA; Roger (Michele) Beers of Cambridge, WI; step-sons, Chris Lundeen of New Richmond, WI; Cory (Meagan) Lundeen of Anderson, SC.; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grand children and many nieces and nephews: his brother, Charles (Kay) Beers of MO; brothers-in-law, Larry (Esther) Baker of McCormick, SC; Steve (Cheryl) Junker of Hastings, MN; Tom (Julie) Junker, Aitkin, MN; Bruce Junker of Stillwater, MN; sisters-in-law, Mary Rhame of Oakdale, MN; Audrey Junker of Vadnais Heights, MN; and Paula (Scott) Frye of Hudson, WI. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Baker. Services will be held at Ft Snelling National Cemetery, Mpls., MN on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. A gathering of family and friends following the Honor Ceremony will be held at the Hilton Airport Hotel, (across from Ft Snelling Cemetery) 3800 American Blvd. E., Bloomington, MN. Also, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at McCormick First Baptist Church in McCormick, SC. Memorials preferred to St. Jude Hospital for Children.
