Dearest Carl:
I truly miss you!! The first time we talked was the day of Dorothy's funeral. I met you that Saturday and we became friends instantly. I thought of you as my Grandpa. One of my Grandpa's passed away of a heart attack at the young age 30, and the other Grandpa passed away from a heart attack at age 60. So, I was in need a Grandpa just like you.
When I used to clean for you we used to talk and talk. That was the quickest 3 hours. I truly enjoyed talking and listening to you. When you moved to Presbyterian Homes you were just down the street from me. When I would drive down Cahill Ave I used to stop and visit you.
Then you moved to Good Samaritan so when I would drive by Robert Street I would stop and visit you. Sometime's once a week, sometime's twice a week. You would always smile and say "Where have you been?" And then soon you would ask "Aren't you working today?" Then you would ask "Where are you going?" You would also say "don't forget about me now, and come back and see me real soon" with the biggest smile I have ever seen and a sparkle in your eye like you were an Angel from Heaven.
Something has been missing since you have passed away. I was driving down Robert Street a week after you passed away and I started to turn into Good Samaritan to visit you, just as I was turning, I realized it was so very true, that you aren't there anymore, and that I would no longer visit you until I go to Heaven and meet up with you.
Please rest in Peace with Dorothy and your parents.
