One of the most amazing people I ever met. She took me under her wing when I was a teen reporter at the old West Side Voice. Connie was so thoughtful - when I went to St. Thomas for college she scouted out the local pizza place and give me gift certificates as a high school graduation present. Travis

I am so sorry! Connie and I became friends when she served on the West Side Voice Board, and I was always happy when our paths crossed after that. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Connie always made me smile - she lived such a full life and was a real joy in my life. I will miss her terribly but am so grateful for the time she shared with me.

My family and I had the great fortune of getting to know Connie over the past year - after being hooked up through the volunteer drivers program at Unity. It amazes me the number of subjects we could cover in those short 15 minute rides to and from church. She was a ball of energy and curiosity - full of probing questions, keen observations, great stories, and no-holds-barred opinions - what a delight! I always felt so energized and alive after spending just those few minutes together. I will miss her - and having just turned 50 myself, I want to "grow up" to be just like her.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Connie at the Minnesota Museum of American Art. What a pistol! She was a wonderful tour guide and an inspiration to everyone at the museum. Her insights from practicing art adding so much to tours at the museum. I'll always remember her so fondly.

Deepest Sympathy to you all. A smile will always come to my face when I think of Connie at Thanksgiving a couple years ago when she was too busy having a glass of wine and talking with family to make the gravy, she had her priorities right! God Bless

Vicki and Chris,
I am sorry for your loss. Your mom had a wonderful spirit. She told amazing stories and delighted in the achievements of her children and her grandchildren. I am grateful I had the opportunity to spend time with her.

She was an original, one of kind... A great example of how to age and still have a wonderful curiosity about life and new things... Great photo of her! May her memory be a blessing.

Victoria, Chris and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I greatly enjoyed meeting your Mom and loved her contagious energetic spirit. I enjoyed her knowledgeable conversations and loved to listen to her. She is one of the most interesting people I have ever had the opportunity to meet. I hope keeping memories of her close will ease your loss.

Chris, Patty and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss.
What a "cool" woman as you say. I am sorry that I didn't know your Mom personally. It is always very difficult to lose a parent, especially at the holidays, but her peaceful departure hopefully gives you relief. And, she will leave her legacy in so many creative ways.
Please know that you all are in my thoughts & prayers.
In sympathy & prayer, Sue Klaseus (friend of Patty Bowler)
