Curtis Ray SWANSON

Born November 11, 1963 Passed away January 16, 2021 Age 57 of Maplewood. Preceded in death by his parents, Gene & Florence Swanson;father-in-law, Paul Blum; and sister-in-law, DeAnn Simonson. Survived by wife, Michelle (Blum) of Maplewood; children, Ellen and Stephanie; siblings Eric (Lori) of Lake Elmo, Carl of North Saint Paul; mother-in-law, Jan Blum; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and 6 nieces and nephews. Graduate Tartan High School Class of 1982 and University of Minnesota Duluth Class 1987, Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Criminology. Curt was a loved father and husband with a personality larger than life. He will be remembered by friends and family for being charismatic, outgoing and always the comedian. Curt worked as a Salesman for Goodin Company until retiring in 2000. He loved being outdoors hunting, camping and fishing. Curt impressed everyone with his strength in his struggles with MS. He fought hard to stay with his wife and watch his children grow up. He was a great father and had many friends. Special thanks to Curt's wonderful caregivers and nurses who helped him remain at home with family. He will be missed by many.
