Daniel Lawrence VOGT

Age 52, of Woodbury Passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017 after a heroic battle with cancer. Survived by his wife, Michele; son, Tyler; parents, Denis and Pat (Deters) Vogt; siblings Tim (Julie), Jeff, Doug (Natalie), and Jodi Jacobson; in-laws from North Carolina; Al and Carol Mignacci, Audrey, and Carolyn (Stephen Salerno); along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents, Leo and Christine Vogt, Leonard and Sally Deters; and aunt and uncles Lawrence Maciej, Eric and Nancy Vogt; and sister-in-law Denise Vogt. Born on December 8, 1964 in Cold Spring, MN. Dan graduated from Rocori High School in 1983, earned his degree in scientific glassblowing from Salem Community College and worked at 3M as a glassblower for 23 years. Dan was meticulous, took pride in all his work, and was a man of many talents. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was a people person with a gift of telling stories, having a quick wit, and making people laugh. He enjoyed sports, coaching his son's baseball teams, hunting, spending time with family and friends, and working on his beloved Mustang. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 pm Friday, February 10 at O'Halloran & Murphy 8700 Valley Creek Rd., Woodbury, 651-702-0301 with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.
