Of Apple Valley Formerly St. Cloud Succumbed to her battle with cancer surrounded by her family on January 1, 2021. Darla, age 63, was born to Albert & Angeline (Hinck) Dittfach, attended Lincoln High School in Lake City, MN and received her Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University. She married the love of her life, Steven, in May of 1985. Darla enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Her tender heart and quirky sense of humor will be missed. Darla devoted most of her life of service working with children in several Preschools and her own daycare while her children were young. Then worked in the Deli at Coborn's (Sartell, MN) and lastly Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Apple Valley. She was a passionate volunteer, especially her time spent at Place of Hope Ministries, serving meals and collecting donations. Survived by her husband, Steven; her three children, Darrin (Jordan) Lovejoy of Rochester, Angela (Richard) Haberman of Fargo, ND and Cristal (Jeremy Sargent) Lovejoy of Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren, Trevin and Maizee Lovejoy; mother- in-law Dianna Lovejoy; 1 brother, David (Marian) of Oak Center and 5 sisters, Susan Bunnell of Mountainair, NM, Bonnie (Dennis) Munkberg of Redding, CA, Sara (Robert) Bedtke of St. Charles, Betty (Richard) Steffenhagen of Lake City and Dana (Galyn) Grad of Rochester; nieces, nephews and many family and friends throughout MN. Preceded in death by her parents Albert and Angeline Dittfach and father-in-law David Lovejoy Sr. A special thank you to AccentCare Fairview Hospice for providing such love and compassionate care.
