100 Died October 28, 2017, at Good Counsel, Mankato. Her Funeral Mass is Friday, November 3, 10:30am in Good Counsel Chapel. A prayer service of remembrance will be held at 9:00am on Friday, followed by visitation until the funeral. Sister Dorothy was born in St. Paul in 1917 to Rudolph and Anna (Hafner) Merth. She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1935 and professed first vows in 1938. She served as a music educator at St. Philip, and SS. Cyril & Methodius, Minneapolis; St. Francis de Sales, St. Agnes, and St. Matthew, St. Paul; and St. Mark, Shakopee; as teacher placement director and on the Marriage Tribunal for the St. Paul-Minneapolis Arch-diocese; and as a Touch for Health kinesiologist in St. Paul. She is survived by one sister, Sister Therese Marie Merth, SSND, one brother, George, nieces and nephews, and her sisters in community, the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
