Ernest Leroy "Ernie" LAMSON

Age 100, of St. Paul, MN Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Lamson; son Kevin; daughter Gail; and grandson Aaron. He is survived by his daughter Renee Lamson; his 7 grandchildren and 8 great grand children. Ernie was born in St. Paul, Minnesota where he lived his entire life. He became a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne in 1942. He received the Legion of Valor from the French Government for his service. Ernie stayed active within the veteran community and attended several reunions; he was very proud of his contributions, and of his fellow service men and women. Ernie enjoyed many hobbies such as golf, bridge, and spending time with family. He'd say, "My grandkids are the light of my life", and loved spending time with them, sharing stories of how he met Charlene, his military service, or trying to convince the kids to hang from his hair. He was a bright light, full of life, joy, and love for his friends and family. He is and will be deeply missed. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, May 10 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME -ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ Co. Rd. B. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home from 10–11 AM Tuesday.
