Dear Sue and Gary and family
Jim and I just found out about your son's passing. We have no words that could tell you how sorry we were to hear about this. I send you the Praises of God in hopes that in some way they will help ease your suffering.

Lord God, living and true.
You are love. You are wisdom.
You are humility. You are endurance.
You are rest. You are peace.
You are joy and gladness.
You are justice and moderation.
You are all our riches, and you suffice for us.
You are beauty.
You are gentleness.
You are our protector.
You are our guardian and defender.
You are our courage. You are our haven and our hope.
You are our faith, our great consolation.
You are our eternal life, great and wonderful Lord,
God Almighty, merciful Savior.

I am very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. When my late husband Steve and I visited Slyce he was always so friendly. He bought me a drink the first time I dined by myself after Steve's passing. Great guy. So very sorry for your loss to his wife and family.

I just hear of Gary's passing yesterday and my heart and prayers go out to all of his family. He visited out farm twice last year and help set up the program to use local vegetables in the farm salad offering at Slyce. I only knew him for a short time; however he glowed when he talked of his wife and then "2 children and 1 on the way." May you rest in peace Gary, and may I offer your family just a bit of comfort. God Bless

My friend had given high recommendations of Pizzeria Pezzo and my husband and I went and loved the food, atmosphere, etc. We were so incredibly sad to hear that Gary passed away, we never met him, but loved the passion we could taste in his pizza. Our prayers are with his dear wife, children and family. Looking forward to the resurrection to be able to meet him.

My heart is truly bleeding for I feel I loss a great friend. My story with Gary is simple but one that has truly touched my soul. He shared his newest creation, a sausage and pepper dish that was just added to the menu with our family by coming out to our table to celebrate my birthday on March 21st. He shared his passion of creating meals for others, his excitement for being in White Bear Lake and the space created for sharing and celebrating. Later our waitress said that was very special for him too. He would shout out from the kitchen as the customers would leaving and "thank you for coming in"! He loved cooking for people and will be truly missed !! Peace and blessing to your family. Gary, Thank you for your gifts, talents and creating a legacy here. I am truly blessed and honored to have been to his restaurant eight times in the four months since it been open. I will miss you Gary!!! Mark

Dear Bougie Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. We got to meet Gary at Pezzio's and he helped celebrate my husband's birthday on March 21 by bringing us sausage and peppers on the house and gracing us to be the first customers to get it. It was a beautiful gesture and great food. His love of life showed through in his work and he will be greatly missed. May God bless you with peace and grace during this very hard time.

Maureen and I are deeply saddened by Gary's passing. We have known Gary most of his life and are very proud of the kind of man he became and of his accomplishments. I can remember talking to him about making pizzas when he was just a kid, when all of the other boys would be off watching TV. We will miss his smiling face. He loved his family and He was part of our family. He did what he loved with his life. I look foreword to seeing him again.
