Age 90 Of St. Paul Died peacefully on September 12, 2016. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard, parents Charles and Lucille Cassidy, and her brothers James Louis Cassidy and Charles Robert Cassidy. Survived by her devoted daughter Michele Gloria, her "favorite son in law" James Ventura, dear niece and goddaughter Jacqueline Mary Cassidy (William Hood), nephew James Richard "Little Jimmy" Cassidy (Nina), nephew Howard Cassidy (Colleen), dearest grandniece Caroline Yares (Tony), grandnephew Christopher Pashibin, grandniece Anna Melstrom and grandnephew Benjamin Cassidy; other nieces Diane Roffey, Connie Greer and Candy Greer, best and dearest friend Patricia Hasse and her "angels here on earth" John and Nancy Hendrickson who made it possible for Gloria to live in her home for a long time. Gloria and her brother Jim owned Cassidy Products, Inc. for 30 years, designing and manufacturing floor maintenance equipment, a company that their father had founded. Gloria and Dick owned a beautiful cabin on Woman Lake where family and friends were warmly included and entertained. Gloria was always ready to have a party for a birthday, a holiday or anything. She loved to cook and bake. Her baking talents even won her a few blue ribbons at the State Fair for her beautiful and delicious Christmas cookies. She was a gifted oil painter, loved many crafts and enjoyed trips to the casino with her good friend Pat. Gloria was warm hearted, smart, beautiful and devoted to her family. She was the most positive thinking person I knew and was always brave and sunny in the face of difficult health issues and loss. For the past nine months, Gloria resided at Lyngblomsten Care Center, where she was lovingly cared for by the wonderful staff in the Lund neighborhood. Gloria was a "force of nature" as her good pal Bill put it, so some days their job was quite the challenge. But they cared for her with patience and love. I cannot thank them enough. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 19, 2016 a 10 AM with visitation one hour prior to service at Holy Childhood Catholic Church, 1435 Midway Parkway, St. Paul, MN 55108. Dear Mom, I hope you and dad are enjoying a martini and dancing to Glenn Miller's "A String of Pearls". I love you. I will miss our Saturdays together. And remember, I did the best I could. Until we meet again, all my love, Michele.
