I will always remember Uncle Gordy telling us to come over and use the pool - anytime! We even brought our Stillwater friends, who to this day still remark how gracious Gordy and Desta are! Thank you for the lifelong memories that you gave myself, my family and friends!

I never saw Uncle Gordy on a summer's day without him announcing to everyone within earshot, "You ought to come over and take the boat out. It's just sitting there waiting for you." Now that I'm about the same age he was then, I realize it wasn't just an invitation. They were words to live by; Uncle Gordy's personal version of "carpe diem." It's still good advice.

To Grandpa, who I know is still with us, just in a different way, I will always carry you with me in my heart and will forever remember the love and guidance you shared with me.
To my family back in Minnesota, I miss all of you and wish I could be with you at a time like this. See you soon.

Gordon Forbes and family have been very special to the Goodwins for many years. We will miss Gordy, but won't forget the wonderful memories. Our hearts are heavy by his absence, but our spirits are lifted as we remember our lovely times together. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The George Goodwin Family

Heaven has gained an angel. Grandpa will always be remembered and live on in my heart. I will hold on to all the wonderful memories. I know he is now embarking in a new journey, walking in a beautiful and peaceful place. I will keep him close to my heart...where he will stay with me forever...until that joyful day, when we are all together again.
I love you Grandpa!

Nothing but good memories and great laughs are thought of when thinking about Uncle Gordy. He was one of a kind and that's what made him so unique. We will miss him dearly and our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Forbes Family.

Mary,
Gordy was the coolest man I have ever met. He always had a smile on his face, and he always made you feel good. I know that the world is a little less nice now that he is gone. Jimmy and I have lost a great friend.
