Harold E. HANSEN

1933 - 2021

Age 88 of West Rush Lake Passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on December 16, 2021. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his beloved wife of 61 years Sandy, children Julie, Lori, and Craig (Mary Ann), grandchildren Alex (Britt), Haily, Kaitlyn, brother Rod and many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Victor and Frances and brother Jerry. Harold was born in North Branch, MN graduated from Macalester College and retired from Dairyland/Sentry Insurance as Regional Vice President where he enjoyed working for 39 years. Spending time with his family was Harold's number one priority and at the heart of everything he did. He was a loving, selfless and supportive husband, Dad and Grandpa. Harold had a big heart and was generous beyond measure. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and weekends at the cabin. As a member of the Purple Hawk Country Club for forty years, Harold won the Calcutta twice; once in his seventies. Watching sports, movies and playing trivia games with his family were some of his favorite pastimes. He was an avid "Craftsman", literally, and had nearly every tool they made. He adored his furry grandbabies and they loved him right back. Harold had a quick wit and great sense of humor and will always be remembered as a humble, compassionate family man who lived his life with dignity and kindness. If you needed great advice, a big hug or a helping hand, he was always there for you. Thank you, Dad for the countless treasured memories, we love you so much! You will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022. In memory of our cherished Dad, please do a random act of kindness in his honor.
