Father Jeffrey H. HUARD

Age 68 Was born on August 21st, 1955, and died November 17th, 2023, of natural causes. After graduating with honors from St. Thomas University in 1977, he spent several years in London expanding international Christian outreach programs and later returned to the US to continue his work and studies at The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. He was ordained a priest on May 5th, 1994, and served in various capacities in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis including as Spiritual Director at Saint Paul Seminary — University of St. Thomas. Father Huard loved literature, old Western movies, long walks and celebrations with family and friends. In his travels, he grew especially fond of Ireland and Scotland, which he visited many times over the years. He loved God with all his heart and served all people faithfully. He will be deeply missed. Father Huard was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Vivian Huard, and his nephew, Navy SEAL, Nicholas Spehar. He is survived by his siblings Michele (Ken) Danelski, Yvonne (Michael) Rockwood, Jon (Linda) Huard, Annette (Patrick) Spehar, and his many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be from 6-8pm, with Vespers at 7pm, Friday, November 24th at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Road Eagan, MN 55122. The funeral Mass will be at 11am, Saturday, November 25th, at the same location. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120.
