Jennifer Newell EASTON

1947 - 2017

September 13, 1947 ~ August 1, 2017 Preceded in death by parents, Edgar Allan Newell II & Jean (Smith) Newell. Survived by her three children, Heather Smith Easton, Emily Benedict Easton, and Benjamin Newell Easton; her nine grand children, Bradley, Tyrus, Julia, Alex, Ellis, Giovanna, Augustus, Samantha, and Adeline; her siblings, Allan Newell, and Carol Newell. Jennifer was a philanthropist who dedicated her life to creating a tremendous amount of good. One of her favorite sayings was "kindness is her religion" which she lived up to throughout her life. Some of her greatest achievements include: 1990-2007 Created the Sumasil Foundation; 1997-2007 sat on the board of Sundance Film Institute; 1995-Present Founded the First People's Fund; 1980-2009 Helped to restore buffalo to native Reservations, creating a land base of 23,000 acres that became First National Buffalo Park. Made the largest private donation to River Falls University toward the restoration of the colt training barn. We will be celebrating Jennifer's life on August 23rd, 4-8pm, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater MN.
