Joanie & Family:

So sorry to hear about John's passing. Angela sent us a copy of the Pioneer Press notice.

John was always my hero. Every police officer's "problem Solving Tree" should include at its end: "But is this the way JC would do it?" Worked for me...

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Joan & Family,

I was so saddened to hear about the loss of John. I remember one time when we were working on my folks` lawn and all of you came and pitched in. I said at the time there should be more families like Piatz`s and their spouses.

May you find comfort in your warm memories of your life together.

Love Carol & Warren

We are very sad to hear of John's passing. He was the best police officer I have ever had the pleasure of working with at the SPPD. John lived his job and was a role model for many to follow. His integrity and devotion were benchmarks for younger officers for many years. John will always be remebered by us.
