Joy BUTWIN

Age 93, of St. Paul Died peacefully at home July 31, 2023. Joy was born in St. Paul, MN to Celia and Abraham (Al) Saxon. She is preceded in death by loving husbands Irving Butwin and Miles Efron and brother Eugene Saxon. Joy is survived by sons Robert (Bonnie), Jack (Gracia), Bruce (Sally), Scott (Mayri) and brother Ron Saxon, as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joy grew up in St. Paul and loved playing golf from an early age, competing in many Minnesota state tournaments. Later in life she took an interest in competitive bridge. She spent many wonderful years in Scottsdale, AZ. Joy's love of going to or throwing a good party was contagious, at the drop of a hat gathering friends for any occasion. She was the ultimate hostess. Before her multiple medical issues as of late, she lived life to the fullest. Friends and family will remember her as a great conversationalist, a survivor and fighter to the end. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society and Hospice of the Midwest in memory of Joy Butwin.
