Katherine Varing Obituary

Varing, Katherine "Mazie" Loving Mother, Grandmother Great-Grandmother and Sister Age 86, formerly of South St. Paul. Died peacefully in her sleep. Preceded in death by her husband, Burnell "Bud" and daughter, Linda Covey. Survived by her children, Judith (George) Lodel, Robert (Linda), Jack (Kathy) and Ken (Terry); many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Sierk, Connie Spain and Gerrit "Buz" (Jane) Hamblin; mother-in-law, Ann Hanson, son-in-law, Robert Covey; and nieces & nephews. An avid golfer and card player. Funeral Service 11 AM SATURDAY at BETHESDA LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2855 E. 47th St., Inver Grove Heights. Visitation 4-8 PM FRIDAY at SOUTHERN FUNERAL HOME, 414 Marie Ave. @ 5th St., SSP. Visitation also 1 hr. before the funeral at the church. Pvt. interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Mazie's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Seniors Caring Companions for their attention and loving care.
