I too graduated with Kenny from PCPM in 1972 and the most stand-out memory was his smile. He never was negative and always positive about everything. We also shared being born in D.C. and growing up in Maryland. After graduation our paths took different directions but we would catch up at meetings and such and I will miss him alot. My sympathies and condolences to his entire family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I graduated with Ken from PCPM and remember him as a very dedicated student who helped other students when they were in need. My condolences to his family, John P. Burghardt, Jr. D.P.M.

I was a student with Dr. Canter at the VA before he had a residency program. He guided me through the very first surgery I performed while I was a student. He and I also published a paper on a patient of his way back in the late 1980s.
I have been a podiatrist for 28 years. I have worked with many people. Some great, some not so good. Without a doubt Dr. Canter was one of the best. Kind, appreciative, positive and energetic.
My condolences to his family.

Karen and I are deeply saddened to hear of Kenny's passing. So many happy memories from childhood in Washington, DC to the present. In many ways Kenny's life was interwoven with our family's story. He was truly a special person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Angie, and your family. Please know that our most heartfelt sympathies are for your loss. May Kenny's memory be a blessing to you and his family.

As a former resident under Dr. Canter I can say that I learned and grew under his leadership immensely and still use many of the skills he taught me. I always admired his compassion he showed and the skill he had in building relationships with both his patients and the hospital staff. His sense of humor was one of his best traits- we were guaranteed to have a few laughs everyday. I'll miss Dr. Canter and will honor him daily by continuing to practice the way he taught me.
