Lorelei,

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Words are not going to ease the pain that you and your family are going through right now. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Loren loved Jesus and looked for innovative ways to share the Good News both at his doorstep and around the world. His vision was an inspiration to many to stretch themselves for the eternal good of others.

"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

Our lives changed the day we met Loren and we soon found ourselves on a plane bound for China where we would be teaching. We'll never forget that after parting with Loren at the airport, so we could go through the security check, we turned around to see him jumping up and down and waving and grinning. (even after he had just paid for our overweight luggage!) He knew he was sending us off on the adventure of a lifetime. Now he's off adventuring in Heaven. Can't wait until we meet up with him again. All thanks be to Jesus!

Pastor Steele's coming to faith story has always made me smile. It took some pushing but once he got there nothing could stop him. He did so much for the Chinese ministry. God bless his family and friends, he will be missed by all.
