I only knew Manya from afar. She was a frequent presenter at our departmental meetings. And every time she was at the podium, the room lit up. She had such warmth, charisma and energy that our team fell in love with her instantly. And every one in the room instantly knew how special she was. She was someone who could make complete strangers smile ... and remember what's important in life. She was a gift to the world. And to the amazing family that gave Manya to us, thank you for bringing such a beautiful light into the world. I will never forget her, or the example she set.

I had the joy of working with Manya when she was a student at PLU. Her smile, care, and humor are indelible in my memory and I ache to know that her beautiful son will know her only through stories. Thankfully she changed many lives during her own too short one, and others can carry her joy onward with and for him. Peace to her family and close friends.

Manya was a source of light in so many lives. She was someone whom many people told me that I needed to meet long before I ever had the gift of doing so. She truly radiated joy, had a quick & hearty laugh, and was both deeply kind and fabulously spunky. I am blessed to have known Manya, and I'm grateful that her legacy lives on in the many people who loved her.

To the family of Manya
My husband and I live in the neighborhood where Manya spent the last 2 plus years. We never met her and now I wished we had. Our hearts ache for the pain you must feel. I keep thinking the dear Lord reached down and took her to help her escape from enduring pain that she shielded from all that loved her. Peace to your family and that very precious Oliver.

I have known and loved Manya's family for over 50 years. I can not imagine a more wonderful family, and I am at a loss for why this happened to their beautiful daughter..I never had the honor or meeting Manya, but knowing her family makes me love her and mourn her passing. God be with the entire Twite family and especially Little Oliver. He is a beautiful child so deserving of having his mother in his life.

There is so much tragedy in our world....but in the tragedy are shining glimmers of beauty.... things that remind us to slow down..to believe when belief eludes us...to find moments of peace when our world lays in tatters at our feet.....to share our love and kindness....to reach out to those who are in need.....and to remember what really, truly matters to us at our core.

Our hearts are bleeding for your family. Our minds can only flicker at the depths of the pain you are feeling. We send love....we send light....we send the wish that within the pain you can find moments of stillness....a momentary respite.

Your story has become a page in our story. We are touched and impotent.
