I attended a lantern lighting event September 20 2024 at Lakewood cemetery. People were given a floating lantern that could be decorate with written memories and pictures of loved ones passed.
The evening was beautiful. It was filled with comfort, peace and for me, an overwhelming feeling of the presence of sweet Mary.
As the candle flickered behind her pictures, you could hear the bands soft music harmonizing with various conversations that filled the night with memories of loved ones passed.
There was some magical link between those attending as they rested their lanterns into the water and watched them slowly float away into the coolness of the night.
It felt like there was some mutual understanding, a common community bond that was connected through this celebration of life.

Tom & family,
We were so sorry to learn of Mary's passing. She sang in our choir at St. John's Church and was always so much fun. We admired Mary's commitment to everything she did and to everyone she loved. We will remember Mary fondly. May she rest in peace. God bless you all.

Deepest sympathy and prayers of comfort to the family grieving the loss of a wife, mother, sister and also friends.
All that had the good fortune of knowing Mary were truly blessed by her kindness, generosity, making you feel like valued and always willing to help in whatever the need, personal or professional.
The world has lost an amazing woman but leaves behind wonderful memories to cherish of Mary´s goodness!
