We are so sorry for your loss. Have many great memories of the Fridley legion baseball seasons. Mike was a great coach but also a great guy. Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Mike was a coach on the field and in corporate America. For me, he was a safe space to be vulnerable, he was a great listener, and he was balanced in every situation I encountered him. My prayer is for peace in the family and comfort as you mourn Mike's untimely passing.

We are praying for Mike and the family. I only knew Mike from a handful of SAYB baseball coaching meetings. His dedication and desire for each child to have fun and learn life lessons through baseball was extremely apparent and filtered down to dozens (probably hundreds) of coaches over the last many years. I've attached a picture of a baseball that somehow ended up in our bucket at Sitzer Park this past Saturday. Thank you for all you have done for the boys of Shoreview and SAYB. Rest in peace Mike.

Although I only met Mike a handful of times, I was always struck by his warm smile. To Liz, Mike, Jessie, and all who knew and love Mike...that warm smile will forever be a guiding light in your lives.

It was so much fun coaching with Mike and being a part of his life. We would both come to the park after some long days at work, I remember he had such a heavy heart after doing layoffs at work, he would share how heart broken he was that he had to be the one to let people go, he would struggle with how families would be affected by having to find a new job and he would have given his own job to save theirs.... Then we would be like two little kids forgetting about everything outside of the diamond with the kids. We would laugh and cheer like we just won it all when one of the kids would get a hit for the first time. Mike was a big part of why kids would wait at the at the door to go play another day at the park. We always agreed that there was no place like being at the park with the kids. Hey Mike dust off home plate up there until we play again. Praying for peace for Liz and the kids.
