Michele Paulette Aherns GIANCOLA

Age 70, Passed Away on January 13 She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia; father, Paul; mother, Marion; and stepdad Roy Person. She is survived by husband Bob Giancola; two sons, Paul and Tyler; ex-daughter-in-law Robin, and beloved grandsons, Liam and Kian, as well as siblings Jim (Barb), Mike (Jackie), Karen (Ed) Dullea, Rick (Mary Jo) Person, Nancy (David) Eike, Dave (Sharon) Person; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, a universe of dear friends, and her pup, Gia. Michele cherished her sons and adored her precious grandsons, delighting in their hockey acumen. And when she and her husband Bob found each other seven years ago, they traveled the country on motorcycles and wintered in Florida. They laughed, they joked, they doted on one another. They wed simply and loved deeply. She loved all of her many dogs, giving each of them creative backstories, voices, personality traits, and a closetful of canine couture. She adored chocolate and was ever in search of the perfect chocolate cake, cookie, pie and fudge, often "encouraging" family members to make homemade sweets for her to try. A realtor by trade, Michele relished, and perfected, the art of schmooze. Her quick wit was unparalleled. Her malapropisms legendary. And her penchant for giving everyone nicknames was a source of much laughter. A force of nature, Michele is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 9 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the clubhouse at Keller Golf Course, 2166 Maplewood Dr., Maplewood, with visitation at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., testimonials and stories at 7 p.m. We encourage you to share your stories, have a laugh, swear a little, and eat as much chocolate as you can—Michele would want that.
