I've posted here before, but just want to re-iterate how much I still enjoy playing piano and always think of Sonny. Just this week, I sat down at my sisters piano (she took accordian lessons) and there was an old mimeograph print out with all of the chords that Sonny had hand written. I still have all of the old sheet music that Sonny hand wrote for lessons. I didn't realize it at the time how much of an impact he would have. Gone but not forgotten.

I took piano lessons from Sonny for 8 years. Forever grateful... I still play frequently... still remember his music studio in West St Paul and still have all of the music that he would hand write and run through mimeograph.

Sonny had a great impact on my life. I took guitar lessons from him in 1962, 63 and 64. I felt so good everytime I climbed the stairs at the Vavro School of Music and Dance. I am now 69 years old and I play my guitar every day. Thank you Sonny! You were one of a kind.

WOW-what a journey. You accomplished so much in your life. I am proud to have had you for an uncle. I will miss your talent as a wonderful muscian. I am sure that the angels are dancing to the music now. Your soul is in the Lord's hands and I know that you will be peaceful in your new home-HEAVEN!
Love always,

Uncle Sonny.... just Uncle Sonny.. and all the thoughts that name means to his neices and nephews. Uncle Sonny played at Robert & my wedding. He was a rare talent. The late Bob Pine (former T.C. fellow musician) said of him "he has the best left hand in the business." My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends.

Uncle Sonny:
It's been a long time with your battle of Alzheimer's. Now you are at peace with the lord and others who have passed before you. You will be missed and remembered in our hearts forever. Barb
