Mildred Lillian Maria Anderson GROEBNER

1917-2014 Age 96 years Mildred (Millie) passed away on January 17, 2014 in Maplewood, MN. She was born July 19, 1917 at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, the oldest of Mary and Axel Anderson's 4 children. Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Howard, son John (Jack). son-in law Robert Dailey, granddaughter Jennifer Dailey, brother Leonard and sisters Helen Ammann and Marion Smith. She is survived by her 5 children Jerry (Roxann), Mary (Ronald) Kastner, Dolores Dailey, James (Patti) and Carolyn (Alan) Bergeson; daughter-in-law Barbara; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren;many nieces and nephews. Millie attended Wilson Jr. High and Washington High School in St.Paul. She went to beauty school snd became a licensed beautician at age 18 and worked at the Leamington Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. She married Howard at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in 1938 and they raised their family in the Como Park and Roseville areas of St. Paul. She moved from Roseville and St. Odilia's Parish in March 2003 to Lakeview Commons Ecumen Community in Maplewood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Croix Hospice, 7200 Hudson Blvd N, #100, Oakdale, MN. 55128-3656.
