Pete was such a wonderful person. We went to High School and lived together from time to time. We lost touch after I moved out of MN but I always thought of him fondly. He was a great friend, always ready to have fun and his love of music and poetry was inspiring. A truly unique soul who left a smile wherever he went. RIP Pete.

Was shocked to see this on the Hour Dollars Facebook Page. My wife Maureen and I had Peter over to help with a plumbing issue and it was fun to talk with him. We had supper together and the conversation was lively to say the least. He will be missed.

Peter often came in to the library I work at and we talked a lot about books. He borrowed me several books from his collection he thought I might like. He was truly a unique person, very thoughtful and friendly. I will miss him a lot.

I am stunned to learn that Pete has passed. I met him through Hour Dollars. He helped me with several handyman projects, and he had clever solutions to strange old-house problems, like a door that wouldn't latch. He fixed windows, doors, and made a paved path that I needed from deck to sidewalk. He checked that whenever he came over to "see how it was holding up". We talked about writing and music. His writing, my music. I am glad that I gave him my Jazz trio CD. I think he enjoyed it, and we had some discussions about collaborating with poetry and music.

I was so sad to find out of Pete's passing. He was such a wonderful bright spirit. I remember He and Paul teaching me how to drive ( when I was 13) and just tons of other great memories. Pete, you will be deeply missed on earth but I know you and Paul are having a few laughs together again.

I met Peter through Hour Dollars, a time-barter group, and I considered him a friend and great conversationalist with an original mind. He did some wonderful handyman projects on our little old Midway house, including constructing a special cat ledge in a basement window. Thank you and Rest in Peace, Peter. Also, thank you for the time I biked up Grand Avenue on a 95-degree summer day and got overheated -- you were sitting outside at Dunn Coffee and got me into some shade and fetched me water. That is the kind of person you were. And then, we talked politics, poetry, and culture for an hour! So, so sad to see you go too soon.
