Richard CLAY Obituary

Age 67, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Paul, MN on July 7, 2015. Richard was born on New Year's Eve, 1947. He served in the Army in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He was employed as an electrician by the Ford Motor Company for 36 years, and was a member of the American Legion Post 121, volunteering for many chicken frys. An electrician by trade, he liked to keep busy and always had projects in the works. He spent time fishing, deer hunting, traveling, ATVing, hobby farming, and enjoyed being with family and friends at the cabin in Hertel, WI. He was a good guy and a fun guy…a real prankster who kept you entertained. Richard leaves behind his much loved wife, Deloria "Dee" Shavinsky-Clay; sons, Clint (Dana) and Eric (Michelle); step-son, Matt Hedlund. He is preceded in death by his mother, Petra (Pulido); his father James "Gene"; son, Jonathan; brother, Ronald. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5:00-8:00pm at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home in River Falls, WI, and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
