My thoughts and prays are with you all. I knew Bob though my mom, Ida, who had the pleasure of working with Bob many years ago at Dennison and Northern Energy Products. My contact with Bob was rather limited, but over the years I could see Bob was evrything many of us hope to be someday, a fine outstanding man in the community. My mother passed a couple of years ago and it was the last time I saw him, the lasting impression he left on me was the nick name my mom and others had for him, Sweet Old Bob, and to me that is what he was, sweet, thoughtful, caring, and I sure he will be missed, because he was so loved by so many.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The thing I remember about Bob was his whistle! At suppertime you'd hear Bob's unique whistle and the Barbeau children came running home from all directions. I have many good memories of times spent at 923 Linwood! May the memories you have of your father help comfort you in the days to come!

To the Barbeau Family.
Your Husband, Father, Granfather was a good and decent man. He always had a kind word for those around him. He seemed to be constantly smiling about the everyday silliness he observed. Bob was always approached by men with their hand out and their own smiles which seemed to say, "Glad to see you Bob. My day will now be better."
Luise and I consider ourselves fortunate to have known him.

I want to extend my sympathy to all
of the Barbeau Family. I spent time
with Bob & Nancy when their son Jim
passed away. I was Jim's manager at both Discover Card and Norwest.
Jim and Bob were one of a kind and I
am honored to have known them both.

We will all miss "Pops" a truely great person, always with a smile and a story to tell. He was a leader in our community and served the Winter Carnival Royal Family for many years as a spokesman and ambassador of goodwill for the city he loved.

Mr. Barbeau was my uncle Tom's neighbor and always nice to the tribe of Vanyo's out at our cabin across the street. He was always a great neighbor. May he rest in peace

I happen to see this news about Bob (Mr. Barbeau to me)... as I was looking for my uncles funeral arrangements. I'm happy I got to see him and spend a little bit of time with him at Vickie's 50th birthday at their lovely home in St. Croix. He was just the same funny, warm, outgoing, larger than life dad as I had remembered him to be in our youth. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, I know you will all miss him terribly... but certain you have many beautiful memories. My best to your family. Colleen Lee (Barott)

My brother-in-law was one great guy. In any gathering, his presence was immediately felt as welcoming and appreciative. I have only good memories of Bob. May he rest in peace and Love.

On behalf of the Order of the Royal Guard of The Saint Paul Winter Carnival I can say that many who know Bob will have a smile on their face recalling Bob's bright disposition and sometimes ironic sense of humor. He was a good friend and supporter of the Saint Paul Community. He may be missed but will not be forgotten.

Bob was a great guy. He never forgot a joke and could recall anything from years ago. He was my brother-in-law since I was 14 years old and I truly loved him. I'll miss him a lot.

MY Dad was the greatest and I had the good fortune to be with him till the end. It was a night such as I will never forget. He has found the peace that is so elusive to us all today. May he go gently into the outcome of life. Peace out Daddio.
