Robert M. SORTEBERG

Age 93, of Roseville Passed away peacefully June 20, 2023 Robert joined the US Navy and served in the Korean War 1950 to 1954. After attending business college, he spent his career working in accounting at Onan Generators and Target Corp. In his retirement years he was an avid volunteer, including Red Cross driver and blood donor. He lovingly made rosaries for Our Lady's Rosary Makers for many years. Bob joined the St. Paul Clown Club driving in parades until 2019. Bob loved spending time with his family and enjoyed traveling. He participated in bowling leagues until age 90! The family would like to thank the medical providers at St. John's Hospital for their passionate care. He was preceded in death by parents, Jacob and Gertrude Sorteberg; and great-granddaughter, Eloise Rose Thompson. Survived by wife of 66 years, Kathleen R. Sorteberg; children, Theresa Sorteberg, Gloria (Randy) Trupe, David (Jill Beguhn) Sorteberg and Carleen (Brad) Peterson; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edward Sorteberg, John (Shirley) Sorteberg and Marleen (Ron) Zechmeister. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, July 7 at MATERNITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1414 N. Dale St., St. Paul. Visitation at church from 10-11 AM Friday. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
