Barb,
I have been thinking about Roger so much today. We are making plans for this Saturdays "All Church Work Day", and I just keep rememering how helpful Roger was last year at our work day. I remember how much fun I had with him, and how hard he worked to clean up and make beautiful God's House...Hope Community Church. I will never look at church work days the same after experiencing one with Roger! :o) He had a servant's heart -- a heart that loved the Lord and wanted to help any way possible. He was an example for all of us to follow. I wonder what responsibilities he now has up in Heaven? I know he's got an even bigger smile on his face than the one I remember last year!
Soon we will all be together in Heaven...worshipping our Lord Jesus... Until then we are all here for you... Thanks for being part of HOPE, and our lives.
Love, Jacque :o)

Barb:
We are so thankful that God brought you and Roger into our lives. We were just beginning to get to know Roger well, and it is sad for us that we won't have more times together now...but we do have all of eternity to look forward to, worshipping our Lord and enjoying heaven together. Roger was such a fun person, full of love and life. He was truly a man of God -- filled with the love of the Lord. You're in our thoughts and prayers, Barb. We're here for you.

I know not how to express our feelings accurately.Hearing the news of your sudden death was like a punch in the stomach.Yet at the same time there was comfort knowing you are in Heaven with the Lord.If I close my eyes,I can recall your presence as an usher @ EHCC. And at the same time I can smell your cologne as you warmly embrace me in your bear hug....Lawrence would like to say he loves you & thank you for the times at OCB.( FOREVER PURPLE PRIDE BABY!!!) The kids will always remember your kind words and your playfull manner.( Tyler said," Please give Jesus a hug for me.")...Barb,John,& Anna, you are in our thoughts & prayers. May the the love of The Lord comfort you in these trying times. We love you all! ~ The Porter-Loftin & Roberts Family

Roger -- Our dear brother and friend. We know you're dancing on those streets of gold, but your early departure left us stunned and speechless. Knowing the company you keep we cannot grieve for you -- but for ourselves alone. In that timeless place you'll glance over your shoulder and see us coming behind you momentarily. We love you Rog... Please save a dance for us!

Barb:
Roger will be forever in my heart. What a sweet, sincere, caring, loving man. When he entered a room he lit it up. He put a smile on my face every time I saw him. What a gift and what a blessing. I pray that many come to know the love of the Lord because of Roger's testimony of His goodness and extraordinary love. Barb, I pray God's love and peace reign down upon you. Roger is with Jesus now and it will be a glorious day when you meet again. I am thankful for his life and blessed to be your friend. I love you Barb!

Barb, It is always a great surprise when God sets up meetings and what a pleasure it was to be together with Roger and you just 1 1/2 weeks ago. We treasure and pray for those we come together with, and we will continue to pray for you. Love to you and your family.

Roger, we saw you blossom into such an awesome man of God over the last several years. You loved our Father with all your heart and soul and it was evident to all who knew and loved you. Now you are forever in His presence, and I know we will see you again someday. I will never shovel snow again, or watch a Viking game without thinking of you.
We sure had some good times together, didn't we? Thanks for always greeting us with your smile and enthusiasm.
Barb, you know that we love you and we are here for you, may God's grace and strength overflow in you at this time of sorrow. Please let us know if there is ever anything we can do.
All our love,

We will miss Roger deeply. He became a very good friend of ours. We are so happy to have spent the time with him that we did. Roger was always smiling and made us smile. He was such a warm and caring person. He was so fun to be around and thought of others. The small group won't be the same without him. Thanks for being such great friends. Barb, we will continue to hang out and share stories. We Love You!

Barb, as one of the many individuals who had the privilege & pleasure of getting to know & love Roger, I wish to extend my condolences to you and offer my assistance should you ever need it. I know that Roger is in a snowy place in heaven (it will probably be the smallest section of heaven) and I’m looking forward to seeing him again. Much love, Megan

Barb, I thank God for Roger's love of Him. Remember, he has just gone on a journey where we cannot go yet. And his spirit lives on. We will one day go there too and see our loved ones waiting for us.
