From Arland Buchner:
I am thinking of all of the good times Sandy and I had with Bucky and Mary Ann. Some of our favorite places to go were Jake's Supper Club and other restaurants by Lake Tainter. After Sandy and Mary Ann passed away, Bucky and I would talk on the phone quite a bit, especially after he got sick. He was a very good friend.

Pete and I met Roger and MaryAnn in 1966 when we moved next door to them
We have remained friends and will miss Roger very much
Through all those years we have never met any one like Roger
He had a bigger than life personality and a love of family and friends. If you have met him you will never forget that smile, sense of humor or his wonderful bear hugs.
Monique and Brad use your memories and never forget what a great daughter you were to him and that he was proud and loved you very much. Your obituary about him is a "Masterpiece"
I looked up an Irish goodbye and found this one perfect: "Nothing anyone can say will take away the pain your feeling to day. Just remember your memories can never be taken away
Our love and sympathy to you both

I´m sorry for your loss. Roger was not only a coworker at the post office and ideal Board Member. He was also my friend and boy could he make us laugh.

I'm going to miss this man so much! I first met Roger at his wife's funeral several years ago but I got to know him at events hosted at Monique and Brad's home. I always lit up when I saw him because I knew we were going to have a good conversation. I never tired of hearing his stories. I would love to have heard more about his ski jumping days. What a colorful past and life he lived! Rest in peace and rest in pride at a life well lived. You will be missed, my friend!

I went to High School with Bucky. A real character and fun loving, and a great polka dancing partner. Always full of energy and fun to be around. Prayers to the family on there loss.

Roger was a great mentor, leader and always put the letter carriers first. He was responsible for moving Branch 28 forward like no other leader. Roger was a friend of the Garhofer family for over 40 years

There are no words to describe this man. His word was his bond. His bond to the letter carrier´s of St. Paul was always there. He was great teacher and educator and guidance counselor to all. His belief in Branch 28 and what unions stood for was something special. Roger, old friend RIP.
