After attending Rudy's service yesterday, viewing pictures, talking to friends, it brought up a ton of memories from the past when I grew up on the West Side Flats. The Lumber Yard' where we did outdoor winter skating, then the Shanty' , as we called it, to warm up after skating, and in the summer played games there. Then there was The original Neighborhood House'. Social Hour was when we went to dances. Rudy and I attended Lafayette Elementary School, then Roosevelt Jr High School, then we both graduated from Humboldt HS. I've know Rudy for 55+ years. It was a sad day for me yesterday knowing I won't run into my West Side friend anymore. I big thank you to Charlene and friends who helped Rudy with his final journey. It's difficult saying good bye. Rudy, my West Side friend, RIP.

May the Grace of God welcome you HOME and all the angels and Saints greet you as you shared your life for all to see from the WEST SIDE through the many years of growing up and laughter of life as we all shared in OUR GODS vision of who we are and how we lived the life before us to gives THANKS and to share our knowing of Rudy as we all took on the task of living a joy filled life and be able to say yes I grew up with RUDY and may your family gather together to hear the memories and pray that he has been a sevant of GOD as our JOURNEY has yet to be fulfilled go in PEACE my friend and pray for us all here on earth.
