Dear Lane, Louie, and Jimmy,

I am writing to express my sympathy to your family on the loss of your mother. Your lives have all been blessed by your mother whose spirit was truly unique. I loved her smile; followed by her funny remarks. One memory that stands out in my mind was Karna's wedding and being on the dance floor. She paraded around the celebration smling in her Keds. She loved life; especially her family. You have been devoted children to her, caring for her every need. Luckily, her spirit lives on in all of you.

Hello Linda, Louie and Jim,
My brother Kevin spotted the notice in the St. Paul paper about your mom. So sorry to hear of her passing. I have lots of fun memories of her and your house, staying overnight in the back porch bunk beds, making breakfast in your kitchen after church and occasionally getting a ride from Jim with the latest hits playing on the car radio, KDWB or WDGY.
"Land sakes Lane" God bless her. I am sure she has brightened up heaven with her warm smile and great sense of humor. Love from your old neighbors at 1607 Stanford, Sheila (Pates) Danielson, Kevin Pates, John R. Pates, Susie Pates, Linda (Pates) Trenter and Dave Pates

Dear Lane,

We are so sorry to learn that you lost your mother. I remember clearly meeting her - it seems to me we were in the car together and either picking her up or dropping her off in the neighborhood. It's wonderful that she lived a long life and was known by her grandchildren.

Our condolences to you and your entire family,

Peggy, Clif, Nancy and Frank

To Jimmy, Louie and Linda: Our family has happy memories of being your neighbors on Stanford Ave. In fact I recently used a plate your mother gave me for a bridal shower gift in 1972, and I always remembered it was from her. You are also in our home movies from the 1950's, so we see you as kids every now and then. My mother treasured your mother's friendship. My condolences to you on your mother's death.
