Mary, Melissa and Laura,

My prayer for you is to get through this time of grief with the help from God, Jesus and the new saint Steven. Steve, dad, and I go back a long way, we shared a lot of fun times at the poker table over the years. To have known him, caught his pitches, watched his skill on the basketball court and in the nets on the ice (a really long time ago!), on the golf course, playing pool, donating to him often and once or twice taking a buck from him while tossing the tickets, fishing, and listening to his hunting stories fills a book of memories about a guy with a lot of talent. I do know that Steve carried for you very much and worked very hard to be a good supporting husband and father.
I will miss "Nels" "Buck" especially when we meet for cards again. I know you will miss him everyday. I will smile everytime I remember another thing about him. I hope you always remember the good things and good times and that helps you through this very sad time.

Sincerely,

Terry Dragich

Mary, Melissa, Laura and family,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Steve was always such a great, funny guy.

I remember when Melissa, Laura and I were sleeping out in the van listening to the Real McCoy CD over and over again, he came out and started making weird noises and tapping on the van. We got so scared, but he thought it was the funniest thing ever! He always had that great personality.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Melissa "Koewler" Goettl

Dear Uncle Steve,

While growing-up you were not only my uncle, but my friend, which is why it is even more difficult to say goodbye. I will always remember your gentle heart and ability to make those around you feel special. The love that you had for your family and friends was seen by all, which is why your spirit will always live on.

I will remember the trips to the cabin, the endless rides to school because it was too cold outside (which one resulted in a car accident with the neighbor), allowing Laura and I to watch TV while you took your afternoon nap, the bonding we were able to have while taking classes for my confirmation and when you hired me as an employee and showed me that patience was truly a virtue. These memories will forever be in my heart and the lessons that you taught will be shared with all.

P.s. Please start on the new man cave as soon as possible because my dad still expects you to watch all the games with him

Love,
Sarah
