Thomas CUSICK Obituary

Born 4/20/1945, passed peacefully with family present on 6/18/2020. He fought a brave battle with kidney/ heart disease. He is reunited with parents Thomas Richard Cusick Sr. & Florence Audrienne Cusick, FIL Gerald Tacheny, sister Barbara Bauer (Ed) and sidekick Peter DeZurik. Survived by beloved wife Barbara (46 years); children: Andrew, Darren (Angie), Brianna; grandchildren Andrew, Patrick, and soon to be born grandson; MIL Dorothy Tacheny; brothers Ron (Lynn), James; the Chicago Crew (Art, Dick, Ron & Ron); extended family and friends. Tom worked in metallurgy for BNSF, tool and die, and head caretaker/boiler engineer for the James J. Hill House. He was an avid reader, community leader (Boy Scouts) and loved his RV vacations (Hart Ranch). He had a heart of gold, an infectious laugh, and the ability to schmooze with everyone. A celebration of life will be held in the near future. Please e-mail [email protected] for info. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family/charity is preferred. All of your "kiddos" will miss you.

Barb and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I really enjoyed getting to know Tom when you guys would come over to my house with Aunt Dorothy for lunches/dinners.
Take Care!

Tom was such a great storyteller and could always make you laugh. Everyone was called "kiddo". He will be sorely missed but knowing he is with Pete again makes me wonder if heaven will ever be the same. Rest in peace, Tom.

e had a laugh that could never be mistaken for anyone else. He was kind and loving and deeply cared for his family and friends. He loved the RV adventure and his favorite place to land was South Dakota and Heart Ranch where my sister and he called home. He loved to talk and could talk to anyone.. He showed up and was there for family gatherings and his greeting of how ya doing kiddo? was fully meant. He raised a beautiful family and he loved every minute of life. He will be missed
