Tom BARENBAUM Obituary

Age 41, of Eagan Passed away on February 20, 2021 Survived by wife, Missy Barenbaum; daughter, Olivia Barenbaum; parents, Steve and Shelley Barenbaum; brother, Michael Barenbaum; grand mother, Goldie Schoen; mother-in-law, Rena Locke; and loving brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Tom was preceded in death by grandparents, Sylvia and Mickey Barenbaum; grandfather, Rudy Schoen; and father-in-law, Doug Locke. Tom will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He was a loving man who cared deeply about people and could talk to anybody. Tom loved sports, cars, animals, cruises, Disney World, the Minnesota State Fair, movies and musicals, and laughing with friends and family. He was a warrior in his battle against cancer and fought until the end for more time with those he loved. Special thanks to Tom's aunt, Peggy Locke, for her fierce advocacy for and care of Tom during his fight, and for Sholom Hospice for their compassion, love, and care in the last four months. Donations preferred to Sholom Hospice or the Minnesota State Fair Foundation. A bench will be purchased at the State Fair in memory of Tom; checks should be made out to the Minnesota State Fair Foundation and sent to Peggy Locke (email [email protected] for address or Venmo name).
