Warren E. SPANDAU

1943 - 2018

Born 8/21/43 in Berlin, Germany. Celebration of Life and interment are scheduled for June 15, 2018 at Roselawn Cemetery, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville, MN 55113, with visitation 10:30 AM. Service 11:00 AM with luncheon following and burial immediately after. Warren passed away at Banner Hospital, Phoeniz, AZ after cancer surgery on 10/24/17. Services were held 11/4/17 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Garden Lakes, Avondale, AZ. Warren was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Helen Spandau, baby sister Rosemary and paternal grandma Amanda. He is survived by wife Sharyll Spandau; only sister Sylvia (Wayne) Shalles; 3 children, Paulette Spandau (David Cossey), Darren Spandau and Angela (Michael) Huarte; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; first wife and friend Patricia (Cookie) Spandau; and many nieces and nephews. Warren grew up in St. Paul's Como Park area, graduated Murray High School, St. Paul, MN, then served in the US Navy. Graduated St. Paul Vo-Tech, worked as a journeyman pipe fitter-welder until retirement in 2005. He enjoyed his work in MN, Midwest USA, CA and OR. Sports interests included water and downhill skiing, scuba diving, country western dancing and watching the MN Vikings games. He and Sharyll were "snowbirds" between MN and AZ for 15 years. From his Lutheran and Jewish background, he bacame a Jehovah Witness 11/15/67. After retirement, he served at Kingdom Hall Grand Rapids, MN and at Kingdom Hall Garden Lakes, Avondale, AZ. He enjoyed going out in service, attending conventions and having many friends in both locations. Over his life he built and/or remodeled several homes and loved to use his skills in plumbing, building and electrical for many people in both locations. He is dearly missed by his family and friends.
