William Herman WICKERMAN

1931 - 2021

William Herman Wickerman was born on August 26, 1931 the twinkle in his mothers eye Elizabeth Wickerman of St. Paul, Minnesota. William graduated from St Paul High School and then enlisted into the United States Army, serving his country for two years. After getting honorably discharged from the Army, he came back St. Paul and started working in the HVAC industry for Honeywell. He worked there for multiple years before starting a job as a buyer for a HVAC company called DC Sales. He would work their until he retired at the age of 70. On April 21, 1956 William married Elizabeth, their union would be blessed with three children, Cindy Steven and Bruce. The couple would raise their family in Oakdale. When William was not working or spending time with his family, he could be found at the ball field. For 22 years William coached T-Ball through the Oakdale Athletics Program. He also would volunteer his time with the women's and men's softball program. He loved every minute working with the players, often coaching them in t-ball, then again as they were older or even they would join him on the coaching staff. William swam everyday in the pool in the backyard and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. William passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the age of 90. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; and his mother, Elizabeth Mae Wickerman. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Jeff) Wrona, Steve (Terry) Wickerman, Bruce (Debbie) Wickerman; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
