I am very sad to hear about the loss of "our" ZuZu! She was a very caring and kind person who knew the perfect time to joke around. I was an employee of ZuZu's about 2 years ago and I must say that she was my all time favorite manager! I don't think anyone could have made my job more fun or interesting. Each day was a new adventure with ZuZu!:) Her loving smile and kindness will greatly be missed, but I will never forget her! My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Khoury family. Take Care!

To the Family and Friends of ZuZu Khoury:
May God be with you in your time of sadness after the loss of someone who was dear to all.
Someone had once said, "a stranger is a friend that I haven't met yet." My family became immediate friends with ZuZu. Although we've been friends with Pam and Eli for many years, We didn't have the privilege to meet ZuZu until Khoury's first restaurant was opened. Just as her brother Eli has also done several times, ZuZu would actually take time in her busy day to come and sit down and visit with us as we ate our meal at Khoury's Restaurant.
We're saddened that ZuZu is no longer with us here, but we take comfort in knowing that she has received her complete healing, and is with Jesus now.
sincerely,
Rob Hafiz

Over the last few days I have been thinking often of all the fun times I had with ZuZu and her brothers and sister. It makes me cry to think she's gone, but it also makes me smile to remember all the fun we had together. I will certainly miss her.
To the Khoury Family, I send you this Native American Prayer and hope it will help you through this difficult time.
NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft starts that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

I knew ZuZu from Khoury's lovely restaurant on Cahill. I loved the walleye dinner on Friday evenings, and I was there often. She would sit in a booth with me for awhile, and we'd chat. I'd tell how good the walleye was, and she told me many a time that she was off on Thursdays so she could go and catch and clean the fish just for me. How special was that?! (I wonder if that was true?)

I'm so sorry for everyone's loss who has been touched by ZuZu. She was a fun loving character and well respected that I'm very happy that I met. She took young employees under her wings when they started working her and knew the right way to joke around with people and make them feel very loved. Thanks ZuZu for letting us enjoy your time with you while you were here.
Take care of each other.

I grew up with Zuzu and have great memories of being with her in Sunday School, working Church dinners, dancing at the Festival of Nations, and much, much more. The one thing that brings a smile to my face is remembering how Zuzu would give me "that look" out of the corner of her eyes. "That look" conveyed either "are you kidding?" or "what do you want?" "That look" said it all! Perhaps you, too, were a recipient! Dear Khoury Family, We pray for her soul. May God bless you all and bring you peace.
With love,
Pat (Neimy) Percy & Willy, Ben and Nate

ZuZu will always be remembered as a kind and a gentle person. Our fondest memory will be when she taught us kids many Christian songs. Although we are all grown up now, we still remember the songs. We will all miss her greatly, may God Bless and keep her now. Our sincere condolences to the Very Rev. Khoury family as we know Zuzu will be missed each day.

Zuzu was a family friend for years. She was a kind and gentle lady who cared endlessly for us all. She shared happiness and good spirits all of the time. She set a good example for christian women to follow. What a great accomplishment she did by living a full and dedicated christian life. What a loss we will all suffer, I will miss her the most. My sympathy goes out to the Khoury family with all of my heart.

Dear Fr. John and family,
We were so saddened to hear of ZuZu's recent death from cancer.
Being away from Minneapolis these past ten years, I must admit, we did not even know that she was sick.
ZuZu was a wonderful person and matushka and I enjoyed those times when we together - whether it be the annual "falafil dinner," some Pan-Orthodox youth event, or a Lenten Mission Service.
We will hold ZuZu in our prayers - especially during these next forty days.
May the Kingdom of Heaven be hers!
May her Memory be Eternal!
With love in Christ,
Fr. John and Jani Memorich

Zuzu was a family friend we knew from church. We would see her there, at the family restaurant or just around the town somewhere.
The one thing we could always count on was when we did see Zuzu was she would brighten our day with a smile, a joke, a funny expression, or something cleaver to get a smile out of us.
We will miss her greatly.
