Noemi "Amy" Christensen

1950 - 2010

Noemí V. "Amy" Christensen, age 60, of Roosevelt, passed away Dec. 15, 2010 at home.
She was born Oct. 23, 1950 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Benito and Hortencia Rodriguez Valenzuela.
Amy married Cory Alan Christensen, Sept. 9, 1977 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Amy worked as a school lunch cook at the Myton Elementary and Roosevelt Middle School for many years. She loved the children. She loved taking care of people and giving things away. Enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, helping, making people laugh, playing with her grandkids and traveling with the family. She loved raising children.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and she and Cory were presently serving in the Roosevelt 15th Spanish Branch. She loved reading and especially reading church books.
Amy is survived by her husband, Cory, children, Yesenia Quick, Alfredo (Cicile) Rios, Eric Christensen, Monique (Nate) Snow, all of Roosevelt; Chantelle Christensen, Studio City, Calif.; niece, Aide Romero; and grandchildren, Isabel, Ethan, Isaac, Tristen, and Hylan.
She is also survived by her adoptive mother, Ruth Wilde, Brownlee, Neb.; brothers and sisters, Margarita, Benito, Efrain, and Hortencia; and adoptive brothers and sisters, Bert Wilde, Jed Wilde, Trent Wilde, and Josie Voss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and adoptive father.
Funeral services will be held Tues., Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center, 50 South Skyline Drive. Due to construction at the Hullinger Mortuary there will be a viewing at the church Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
