Laura Lovelady

Laura Lovelady, 56, of Nice, CA passed away April 20, 2021. She was born in Pomona, CA to Fred and Gwen McIntyre. Laura moved to Mendocino County with family at the age of 11. She spent most of her years in Ukiah, graduating from Ukiah High School in 1983. Later moving to Nice 12 years ago. She worked for Mendocino County Office of Education for nearly 30 years. First out at River School helping kids that needed a little extra attention and in the past several years at the Mendocino County Juvenile Hall helping with their education. She loved her job and being there for people who needed her. The family is now finding out how much impact she had on so many people's lives. She is survived by her son, Nate Lovelady and his partner Alyce James, her daughter Stephanie Lovelady and her partner Steve Blanchard, her grandchildren, Riley Blanchard, Amelia Blanchard, Rayne Lovelady and Roxy James. She is also survived by her mother Gwen Bergstrom, step mother, Arlene McIntyre, brother, Steve Ewers, sister, Chris Bettencourt, step brothers, Mike and Tom and Heidi McKeown, nephews, Mikey Bettencourt, and Josh Ewers, nieces, Mabel Bettencourt and Jessica Eastridge, numerous nieces and nephews of the Lovelady family as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred McIntyre. A small memorial will be held Saturday, May 8th between 10-1 at Lake Mendocino near Pomo A day use area. Please come and share your stories.
