Michael Robert Moore Our beloved Michael Robert "Mipa" Moore, 69, passed away July 9 at the VA in SF after a long battle with Agent Orange-connected renal disease. He was proud to be married to Betty Moore for nearly 46 years. Born in Ukiah, Mike was the son of Myrtle Elliott Wildberger Moore and Robert Louis Moore. He graduated from Ukiahi in 1965 and Sacramento State in the 1970. After being drafted, enlisted with the USAF and fought as a Lieutenant/Captain/pilot in Vietnam 1970-1975. After returning to Ukiah in the early 1980s, he enjoyed teaching at Mendocino College and several local middle schools. Mike was a Mason, but his heart was in the outdoors, enjoying live music or visiting family. He loved hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, especially at Montgomery Woods, Navarro or the Sierras. He is survived by his spouse, Betty, children Heather and Dave Atherton, of Rocklin, and Sean and Haley Moore of Oakland, grandchildren Meghan and Jackson Atherton and Hunter Moore, mother-in-law Mabel Lennberg of Lakeview, OR and siblings Donna and Ed Pallini and Dirk Wildberger and deceased wife, Lorraine, Caroline Wildberger, wife of deceased brother George, and Vikki Wyatt, wife of deceased brother-in-law, Alan Wyatt. A celebration of life will be held on August 27 in Roseville where Betty and Mike moved in 2014. Memorial donations may be made to the www.youcaring.com/michaelmoore.
