Michael Allen Schumaker Michael passed away Jan 1, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. He was 58. He was born Aug. 22, 1958 to Dora Weselsky and William Schumaker. He was born and raised in Calpella, CA. Michael was very active in the rodeo circuit. He loved being a rodeo clown. He enjoyed being involved with the Redwood Riders in Redwood Valley. He loved riding his horse Silver, his dog Sheba, hunting, fishing and just having fun. He moved to Camas Valley, Oregon with his wife June. He was a foreman on a ranch which is right where he belonged, as he had a love for the outdoors. Michael is survived by his wife June, her three children Kalun, Michael and Herdona. His sons Justin Schumaker of San Diego, Jared and wife Brianna Schumaker of Willits and their mother Robin Martinazzi. His mother Dora Eshleman, his sister Debbie Wismer and husband Walter of Lakeport. Linda Pitelka and husband Vince of St. Louis, MO. Brother Charles Pacini of Calpella. One grandson trace Daniel Schumaker. Numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased in death by his baby daughter Kellyn Schukaker, his father William Schumaker, and step-father Robert Eshleman, and nephew Donnie Dockins. At his request no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Taylor Family Mortuary in Winston, Oregon. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Society. Lay me to rest when work is done on a friendly mountainside, lay me to sleep neath moon and sun on the range where I used to ride. Where deer slip by and rabbits scoot and red tails circle the sky. Where gray grouse drum and horned owls hoot and the cavies a gazing nigh. Mark my grave with a picket post that the wrangled horse may heed to know that his master hankers most for him to stay close to feed. And I wonder if God in heaven above will ever look down on this range and whisper Ol Cowboy a greeting of love as he's drifting to pastures strange.
